Same job as I’ve been on all week. 69001 back on the train after yesterdays fun with the 73s
There is never a dull moment though due to a points failure at Basingstoke I had to wait ad said station for over an hour before staff manually moved the points and freed the train.
I had an impressive run home though making up over an hours worth of delay! Thanks to all the signallers that kept me going. Worst part about it all was the cafe at Basingstoke had just closed when I arrived so I couldn’t get a coffee. I did chat to a couple of people on the platform about the 69s and railways in general. Always good to get out the cab and have a chat especially on a long job like the gypsum.
