So the fun times of route learning have now started! Turns out I didn’t need 50 hours of traction handling before being let loose on my own, but only 25. Good thing I managed to get a decent amount.
I had my traction assessment last Thursday which was all good, and now the long labourious task of learning my routes can begin. Armed with my route learning tickets I can take over a train and drive as long as the other driver is feeling confident enough.
Will be out and about a lot more now going forward, and hope to have a few bits signed off before my break at Christmas.
