Hey everybody hope you have all had a good Christmas.
Not a great deal to report over the past few weeks, I’ve been mainly on standby duty on the snow and ice treatment train. SITT. I had a nice run out at 03:15 the day after Boxing Day. I took a SITT train down the Uckfield line. Those of you who know the area will be aware that this line is not electrified. My purpose was more of a route proving train to make sure that the line was clear prior to the first passenger services following the Christmas shut down.
I did of course take the opportunity to grab a quick snap shot of a SITT at Uckfield, something you definitely don’t see very often.
