27th March 2022

Haven’t done one of these for a while so something a little different for this one.

When I’m not driving 66s around the place, I Volunteer on the East Kent Railway in Shepherds Well, near Dover.

We start running trains next week so as Yardmaster of the railway, I was asked to get the yard ready for the start of service.
This involved pretty much rearranging the whole station snf yard areas to allow everything to fit in the right place.
9 hours of shunting and 15,000 steps by myself as the only driver on Duty today (as well as being lead shunter), we got it done.
Some rather rare moves took place with some rather rare stock.

Here are a selection of photos from the day.
