Just another boring Tuesday standing by like a coiled spring on the Sussex RHTT.
At around 9:30AM a call to arms arrived with a request to run a RHTT from the yard to Shalford on the Surrey Hills line.
Unfortunately I don’t sign this route yet so my colleague was sent out instead. Not one to miss an opportunity I jumped on the loco to have a look over the route and start the process of learning it.
Yesterday the GWR class 769 was testing on this line so I was hoping to pass it at some point, but unfortunately we didn’t.
The route is beautiful and I’m looking forward to learning it and signing it off in the future.
