Good start – my 12 car has become an 8. Going to be snug.
As suspected. Full and standing from Paddington. Lots of tutting and muttering from passengers. At least I had a seat. Surprise surprise held outside Reading for a blessed CrossRail so late in and out of Reading, even though there was no need to detach anything. Annoying thing is platform 12 (the down relief – usual platform for Didcot services) was completely empty. Signallers leaving the signal system up to ARS again. Still, get this back from Didcot to Reading for a PNB!
